ROCK THE CANVAS MEADOWBROOK

This art and music class will be a drop off class for PM Meadowbrook
Students which will include time for each child to eat lunch before
class (lunch is not provided by DAMPA).
"Rock the Canvas" is a partner class with KidArt which includes 45 minutes of art and 45 minutes of music class with Mr. Jake. The art portion typically consists of guided painting, oil pastels, some cut & paste, and even sculpture. The kids then take a quick break to clean up, wash their hands, use the restroom, and get a drink of water before music class. During the music portion, Mr. Jake leads students with his guitar playing classic children's music such as "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and "ABCs" as well as contemporary music like "Happy" by Pharrell and some classic rock/pop tunes. Students will explore various instruments such as egg shakers, hand drums and tambourines. The music portion also includes a story book set to music, musical/rhythm games like Hot Potato and Musical Chairs, and the class ends with a dance party ...FUN FUN FUN!!!

Group Class time are permanent and regular attendance is expected. As a courtesy, please fill out Absentee Form at dallasacademyofmusic.com/absentee/ or contact the front desk if you are unable to attend your scheduled class. Make-up's are not available for group classes/courses.
